About Dr. Schwarcz
Dr. Robert Schwarcz is devoted to quality work, patient satisfaction, and highly personalized care while focusing on his specialty of facial
cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. His work is highly regarded for displaying natural looking results. Dr. Schwarcz firmly believes cosmetic
surgery should help a patient look rejuvenated, not “pulled”, or done. He implements the latest advancements in cosmetic surgery, allowing him to
avoid prolonged recovery times and unnatural outcomes.
Dr. Schwarcz is one of only 500 surgeons nationwide to be admitted to the American Society of Oculofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and
is board certified. A diplomate of both the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Schwarcz’s highly specialized
training allows him to meticulously focus on the details of facial cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Schwarcz was born and raised in New York City. He attended the City University of New York seven year combined BS/MD program, and received his MD
degree in Washington, DC. After completing his residency in New York at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY he moved to Los Angeles to complete
a 2 year highly specialized surgical fellowship in Oculofacial Plastic Surgery at top ranked UCLA medical center, Jules Stein Eye Institute focusing on
plastic surgery relating to the eyes, surgery of the eyelids, browlifts, orbital, and lacrimal surgery, thyroid eye disease. This was then followed by
another 2 year surgical fellowship training in Beverly Hills, CA, in Cosmetic surgery with focus on face lifting, necklifting, rhinoplasty, fat transfer,
liposuction, laser resurfacing, chemical peeling and many other cosmetic procedures.

Dr. Schwarcz is board certified. He is a diplomate of the American board of Cosmetic Surgery, Oculofacial plastic surgery and Ophthalmology.
He is an assistant clinical professor at UCLA Medical center, and teaches residents at both UCLA medical center as well as Loma Linda Medical center where
he teaches doctors facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery techniques. He also instructs Dermatology residents techniques in Mohs surgery, as well as
cosmetic facial surgery. He has over 30 published medical articles in his field of plastic surgery including textbooks and continues to lecture on an
international circuit. Dr. Schwarcz lectures both in the fields of reconstructive and cosmetic facial plastic surgery. He was recently featured on Larry
King Live for his role in the total reconstruction of the face of a girl mauled by a mountain lion. Dr. Schwarcz enjoys participating in medical mission
trips abroad, most recently he was involved in the CRISP foundation in Mazetenango, Guatemala performing cleft lip and palate surgery as well as other
facial deformities on children.
Dr. Schwarcz currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife Dr. Monica Dorin Schwarcz, an Endocrinologist and their daughter Lily.
